The Birth of Aether 72 London

A Promise to the Next Generation
Every scent tells a story. Ours begins with a single document—a birth certificate dated 1964, linking a family’s journey from Punjab to Singapore, and a nation’s transformation from a port city to a global hub.
The Spark of Creation
The true turning point for Aether 72 didn't happen in a laboratory, but in a conversation with my son. When Saminder came to me with the idea to share the world of fragrance, I knew we had to go deeper. I looked at him and made a promise: "No, my son, we will not just sell a brand; we will create our own." In that moment, Aether 72 London was born. It wouldn't be a shortcut; it would be a legacy.
Our Roots: From Punjab to Boat Quay
In the 1950s, my parents arrived in Singapore as immigrants, carrying the scents of home: cardamom from the markets of Punjab, oud from temple incense, and roses from a small garden by the Singapore River.
Boat Quay was our home—a place where cargo crates held spices and silk, and where a new nation was taking shape. By 1964, when my birth was officially recorded, Singapore was forging its identity. This balance between heritage and innovation became the foundation of who I am.
The Muses: Saminder & Avaani
In 2013, with the birth of my twins, Saminder Singh and Avaani Kaur, everything changed. Watching them discover the world gave me the courage to turn a lifelong passion for scent into a reality. Saminder (Protector of Society) and Avaani (Earth) are my biggest encouragement. Their presence inspires me every day to build something worth passing on.
Perfumery Beyond Boundaries
Today, we bring that legacy to life in London. Because this is a promise kept to my son, we refuse to rush. Our Extrait de Parfum collection—Serpentine Morning, Opera Evening, and Midnight Mayfair—undergoes a mandatory 28-day maceration process. We are not just blending oils; we are aging memories.
Crafted in London. Rooted in the World. Built for the Future.
